Nagachaithanya’s response to Malayali trollers is here!

Online trolling is the order of the day as far as Kerala is concerned. Mallu netizens seldom think before taking digs at politicians, actors, sports personalities and anything under the sun.

Malayalam film industry had a trending hit in the form of ‘Premam’ last year, which almost attained cult status among Kerala youth. So, hopes touched the sky when actor Nagachaithanya announced plans to remake it into Telugu.

But, Telugu ‘Premam’ had to undergo severe online bashing in the form of trolls and memes when they released two songs in youtube. Keralites were visibly unhappy about the way Nagachaithanya reprised Nivin Pauly’s role from the Malayalam original. So, finally Nagachaithanya has broken his silence and responded to these trolls.

‘I am deeply hurt by the way people have reacted.‘Premam’ had touched my heart and the movie even moved me to tears”, the actor said. He added that such responses are expected when you touch a movie that enjoys a special status among viewers. He poured out his heart in an interview given to The Hindu newspaper.

Telugu troll pages have started reacting to incessant trolls on the Telugu actor by Malayalees. Some netizens are of the opinion that this might create a rift between the fans of these two industries, especially at a time when Tollywood has welcomed Malayalam actor Mohanlal’s grand entry.
