Kannur CPI(M) leader's son abuses police inside station

(Kannur, Jan 10, 2018, DG): The son of a prominent CPI(M) leader allegedly abused officers inside a police station on Wednesday morning.

The Kannur leader's son was provoked when officers turned down his demand to use the toilet inside the police station.A 15 member gang stormed into the station at 8.30 AM with the unexpected demand.

The youth who got down from a tourist bus, entered the station and put forward the demand. But, the police refused to allow this and asked the gang to use the comfort station nearby.

Following this, the prominent leader's son used abusive language and threatened police officers. According to them, outsiders couldn't be entertained as there were two accused inside the station who were arrested on charge of murder attempt.

But, the police officers were unaware of the youth's identity and came to know that he is the communist leader's son only after the gang's departure. A report regarding the incident has been handed over to the SP.
