Malayalam detective novelist Kottayam Pushpanath passes away
 
(Kottayam, May 2, 2018, DG): Famous Malayalam detective novelist Kottayam Pushpanath (80) passed away on Monday. He was under treatment for various ailments.

The veteran writer who has penned popular novels of the crime genre died in the wee hours of Monday at his residence. He will be cremated later.

Pushpanath had penned more than 300 novels. Many of those were translated to other languages including Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Two of his novels namely 'Brahmarakshas' and 'Chuvanna Anki' were made into movies. His son Saleem Pushpanath passed away three weeks ago.
