Minister K. Raju apologizes for his Germany trip

Thiruvananthapuram: State Forest Minister K.Raju apologizes his controversial Germany visit during the time of flood in Kerala.

The Communist Party of India (CPI), Kerala, was under severe flak after Raju left to Germany last week. Speaking to a television channel the Minister admitted that the time went out of the state was wrong.

“I left for Germany on August 16 to attend a programme of the World Malayalee Council near Berne. I returned in four days but by that time, the flood situation in the state was already out of control. The trip was ill-timed,” said Raju.
