LDF victorious in Mattannur municipality
 
(Kochi, Aug 10, 2017, DG): The ruling LDF has retained Mattannur municipality by winning 28 out of 35 wards.

The Congress which had won 13 wards in previous elections could manage only 7 this time. BJP fielded candidates in all 32 wards. They came second in 2 wards.

SDPI contested in 8 wards and Poonjar MLA PC George's Janapaksham party in one ward.
