This act of compassion turns their Onam memorable
(Kochi, Sep 13, 2016, DG):This Onam is special for few families in Ernakulam. These poor families were prone to stray dogs and anti socials and lived in constant fear.

Now, they can put an end to all these worries as Br. Mavuroos has gifted them a happy home. This came as a suprise Onam gift for these poor people.

Sixteen people from four families lived on the pavements near Ernakulam North and South railway stations. Newborn babies too were part of this group. Policemen used to bother them and as a result they couldn't settle down anywhere. Constantly on the run to find new places to perch, life was a dreary affair for them.

This is when Brother Mavuroos came to the rescue. Brother, who is known for charity works through 'Ashrayabhavan' was deeply moved by their misfortunes. Now, these families are rehabilitated in 'Mother Teresa home' near Irinjalakuda.

Brother Mavuroos and 'Ashrayabhavan' have rehabilitated more than 2000 street children. 'Ashrayabhavan' has a rich legacy of 50 years to look back at.
