Oommen Chandy Not Interested in KPCC Prez Post
 
(New Delhi, Apr 18,2017):Former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today revealed that he’s not interested in becoming the KPCC President. Chandy repeated his earlier decision in the issue during his meeting with Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi here today.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Chandy said that there’s no such situation exists that demands a change in his earlier decision. Stressing that he will be active in politics, he said that he will not work for the party by assuming any official post. He added that the decision was taken following the unfavourable results in the Assembly poll.

Chandy made it clear that he had taken the decision after informing the High Command, which subsequently gave him the nod.

He opined that it’s the High Command’s job to decide on the appointment of KPCC President. Chandy said anybody can express their opinion and the High Command will take a decision by considering everything. He added the he’ll accept the decision.

Rahul Gandhi met the former Chief Minister to know about his stance on the appointment of KPCC President. Rahul will also meet V.M. Sudheeran in this regard.
