Applied for NEET? Here’s what you should take to the exam center

To ensure smooth and transparent conduct of NEET 2017, CBSE has asked candidates to bring several documents at exam center of NEET exam for verification purposes.

These documents would assist in verifying the identity of the applicants and approve their candidature in NEET 2017.

NEET is now the single medical entrance exam to be conducted by CBSE. The Applications from eligible candidates are invited at cbseneet.nic.in. NEET 2017 is scheduled for May 07 in single session over a duration of 180 minutes. With all the state medical exams replaced by NEET Exam, CBSE reported a massive number of applications this year.

The Admit card for NEET 2017 was released at cbseneet.nic.in on April 15. Though the process of NEET is simple and clear, candidates are yet confused about a lot of things regarding NEET 2017. One of the most asked queries is about the documents to be brought at NEET 2017 Exam Center. To end doubts of all candidates, here is the list of all the documents to be brought at NEET 2017 Exam Center.

NEET 2017 Admit Card

NEET 2017 Admit Card is an important document released by CBSE to successfully registered candidates. The Admit Card of NEET 2017 will be released at cbseneet.nic.in on April 15.

Admit Card is a mandatory document that must be carried at all the stages of NEET 2017 including exam day, AIQ (All India Quota) & State counselling and Admission processes of various institutes.

Aadhar Card (UID)

Following the mandate to make Aadhar Number mandatory for all exams conducted by CBSE,candidates are required to present their Aadhar Card at NEET 2017 Exam Centers. The main purpose of Aadhar Card would be to support the details already present in NEET 2017 Admit card.

Aadhar Number is a twelve digit unique number issued to Indian Citizens on the basis of their biometric and demographic data. As of February 2017, 92.3% of total population of India have Aadhar Number. Considering its success and acceptance at such a large scale, CBSE made Aadhar Card mandatory for NEET 2017 Exam.

Passport Size Photograph

Along with NEET 2017 Admit Card and Aadhar Number, the candidates are also required to carry multiple passport size photographs to the exam center. The Photographs must be same
as used in NEET 2017 Application Form.

The purpose behind photographs at exam center is documentation process. CBSE maintains an attendance sheet for appeared candidates and requires candidates’ photograph for the same.

This is done to ensure clarity and transparency in the process.

Accepted for more than 90% of medical seats in India, NEET 2017 is expected to cater more than 700,000 medical aspirants this year. With the limited number of Medical Seats and such a
huge number of aspirants, the chances of success in NEET 2017 would be less than 7%.

Collegedunia wishes best to all the medical aspirants sitting for NEET this year and quotes legendary George RR Martin for them, “A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone,
if it is to keep its edge”
