GATE 2018 Answer Keys Out on gate.iitg.ac.in
(Feb 20, 2018): IIT Guwahati has released the answer keys for GATE 2018. Candidates who have appeared for GATE in this academic year can check for the same at gate.iitg.ac.in. Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati will be releasing the results for GATE 2018 on March 17, 2018.

Answer keys for all subjects along with their question papers are available on the official website. Candidates can also find the same for various sets (in case of Mechanical and Civil Engineering) at the website.

How to check the answer keys for GATE 2018?

1)Visit the official website of the examination.
2)On the top left corner, a ‘post exam’ tab will be visible.
3)Click on the same. Links for answer keys and question papers for different exams will be mentioned.
4)Click on the link of the examination concerning you. The answer key will be displayed.

Candidate’s responses were made available on the GOAPS last week. They can now match their response sheets with the official answers mentioned in the answer keys. In case any candidate has any queries or objections in regards to the answer key, they can raise them with the conducting body and submit the proofs between February 21 and 23, 2018.

The examination was conducted on February 3, 4, 10 and 11 for a total of 23 subjects. Nearly 10 lakh students appeared for GATE 2018. Only the final declaration of the results is awaited now.
Once the results for the examination are out, candidates can apply for admission to master’s programs and direct doctoral programs in engineering/technology/architecture and doctoral programs in relevant branches of science.

GATE scores are accepted at institutions supported by MHRD and other government agencies such as IIT’s, NIT’s and other engineering institutes. Candidates are also shortlisted for filling various vacancies in PSU’s through their GATE scores. A candidate’s GATE result is valid for three years from the date of announcement of results.

Further, candidates can pursue JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) / SRF (Senior Research Fellowship) at CSIR Laboratories. Candidates can also be entitled to a stipend of 15,000 to 20,000 from the CSIR laboratories based on their capabilities.

To promote Master’s degree in Engineering, candidates are encouraged through various scholarships and assistance is provided to deserving candidates. GATE qualified candidates can avail financial assistance of INR 11,800 per month. This can be further used by the candidates to complete their course work, thesis work.
